They are all special in their own way, and all touch a place in my heart with pure and unique feelings. Both present and past pets have a special place in my soul as do many others that were not owned by me. Only a true animal lover can relate to my words.

Mirage is pure mare. She has an opinion and speaks it well, however, she is the horse I trusted with my Victoria for leadline, the horse that overcame a terrible injury pressing on with limited showing earning a regional top 5 and her WAHA legion of Merit, she's the horse I can grab out of the pasture to go on a trail ride or a show with, and the horse that just knows she has a place with me for life. She was born in my lap, out of a dear to my heart mare Mystic Girl, hoping for a colt so I could have a gelding to show, I got this filly that was a blessing in disguise, therefore she was named "Mirage". She tries to tolerate most humans, but truly loves and is loved by us.

Joey Joey Joe Joe is one of the most personable horses I have ever known! He's a clown in a horse body, always good for a laugh and often quite frustrating like the class clown can be! He loves almost everyone. I have known Joe since he was born, and was honored to call him mine before his first birthday. He was a dream come true and looked to be my next star Hunter Pleasure horse, with his quality and huge 16 hand frame. But Joe developed some health issues so our dreams and plans were put on hold. I am still hopeful that someday we will enter the showring and prove everyone wrong, but for now he's my stay at home comedy act!

I have always loved the quote "When God closes a door he always opens a window".

It reminds me in so many ways of the "baby" of my horse family, Sohpreme. He came to me in a time when I needed something to look forward to concerning my horses. He's been a complete blessing and has given me new hope for the future. I photographed him as a tiny suckling and brought him home as a 15.1 hand 2 year old. He is still growing like a weed and is of excellent quality. He's already had a very limited, yet successful career in halter being named the 2008 NDAHA Champion Jr. Colt and 2008 Minnesota Fall Fest Top 5 Auction colts/geldings. He'll begin his performance training in late 2010 and I hope to hit the showring with him in 2011.

"Johnny" is my half Arabian/National Show Horse gelding. He's a ton of fun with a kind soul. I have known & photographed him since he was a suckling and have always admired what a great guy he is. His wonderful breeders sold him to a nice girl who took great care of him, and then he just happened into my life as one of my own in 2008. We are not sure what we will do together in the future, but for now Johnny is content with keeping his "sister" Mirage in line and being a really fun horse to be around!
